The Wisconsin Dells is one of the top tourist destinations in the Midwest, and that’s been true for decades. But with so many entertainment options competing for your hard-earned money, is it still worth the trip in 2025?

Resorts, Waterparks, and New Attractions

The Dells has a wide variety of resorts, most of which include a waterpark or other on-site attractions. While driving around, I noticed several new developments under construction, including the upcoming Wisconsin Hotel & Conference Center. This new spot will feature a farm-to-table restaurant cleverly named Farmer in the Dells.

Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park Resort continues to make waves with recent expansions, including America’s Tallest Waterslide, which stands a jaw-dropping 145 feet tall. It’s impossible to miss towering over the property.

We also explored the bustling downtown district, filled with gift shops, restaurants, bars, and attractions. One fun detail to look for: Zoltar fortune-telling machines. They’re everywhere and always a good laugh.

Before heading home, we hopped on a Jet Boat tour with Dells Boat Tours. I expected a fun ride, but it was even better than I imagined. Not only was it exciting, but the natural beauty we saw along the way was absolutely stunning.

Final Verdict: Still a Must-Visit

So is the Wisconsin Dells still worth it in 2025? Absolutely. The real challenge is deciding where to stay and what to do, because there’s more than ever, and new things being added all the time.
