With 2015 being the year Back to the Future II envisioned as the future, everyone is looking to celebrate what the future of 1989 was supposed to look like. Earlier this year, Nike announced they’d be releasing a version of Marty McFly’s self-lacing Air Mags. And now, Lexus may have one-upped them, releasing a teaser video revealing a sneak peek at an actual working hoverboard.

One of the most iconic parts of Back to the Future is the time traveling DeLorean. But, in earlier versions of the story, the DeLorean was nowhere to be found. Originally, Marty McFly was going to back to the 1950s in a refrigerator! And, instead of being powered by plutonium, it was powered by a nuclear explosion and Coca-Cola. Get ready for even more facts from the future in the latest installment of You Think You Know Movies!

So it has come to this: 2015 will see not only the 30th anniversary of 'Back to the Future,' but a stage musical adaptation that will premiere in London's West End with an eye towards a Broadway debut in 2016. This is no cheap knock-off either. This version of the enormously popular film has several of the original's key players heavily involved in the production.

It's probably going to be hard to out-nerd this one. It's Doc Brown, of 'Back to the Future' fame, against the Doctor from 'Doctor Who.'

In a new Collegehumor.com original, we discover what Back to the Future would have sounded like if Marty McFly had come from 2012 to bring a Skrillex to the Enchanted Under the Sea Dance.  Yikers.

Marty McFly would be proud.  Who hasn't seen "Back to the Future" and wished to drive 88 mph and trigger the flux capacitor to travel into the future?  The DeLorean time machine is cool enough--but to combine it with the awesome force of a monster truck?  Genius!!!

I'm a sucker for Lionel Richie, don't' judge.  That's why I had to check out this video, it features movie clips edited together to his song 'Hello', and it's pretty well done. When ‘Back to the Future 2′ premiered way back in 1989, its vision of 2015 was exciting: Marty McFly got to enjoy inventions like the hoverboard and self-lacing sneakers. The hoverboard has yet to fully materialize, but we can at least be excited that Nike might be manufacturing those shoes of the future someday soon.

The original cast of Back To The Future reunited to celebrate the 25th anniversary and the release of the time travel classic on Blu-Ray. Ok, just to be clear. I bought the VHS tapes, the DVD and now the Blu-Ray. I suppose next it will be the 3D version...
