Chilly Billy’s Announces New Superior Location, Grand Opening

It's been a big year for this Twin Ports area frozen yogurt company!

Last year, Chilly Billy's faced closure as the founders of the popular Duluth-based brand announced their plans to retire. Thankfully, a pair of local businessmen bought the company and have not only kept it open for locals and visitors, but have been making some big, exciting moves!

The first big move was literally moving one of their locations. The Miller Hill Mall shop in the food court stayed where it has been, but the original location in the Shops at Bluestone needed to find a new location as the lease was set to expire while the original owners planned to retire.

The Woodland shop moved just down the street, taking over the old Vanilla Bean location in the Mount Royal Center. Along with the move to a new location, they expanded their hours, added brunch, and started doing new events like trivia nights.

With all of these changes, the owners say they don't want to change what has made the brand so popular and successful in the first place. They've been holding true to their recipe for family fun with delicious frozen treats with an expansive toppings bar to make your own sweet creation.

Now, they're bringing the brand across the bridge, opening a location in Superior later this year!

Where will the new Chilly Billy's location in Superior be?

The new location will be opening on Tower Avenue in Superior, in the Tower Avenue Plaza. This is the same complex where Papa Murphy's Pizza, Taco John's, Tires Plus, and Vision Pro Optical are located.

Based on the image shared on their Facebook announcement, they'll be moving into the old Boxtronics location, between Tires Plus and Vision Pro Optical.

When will the new Superior Chilly Billy's open?

The owners announced a grand opening celebration for Tuesday, September 3 of this year on their Facebook page.

While details are limited at this time, they're inviting Chilly Billy's fans and new customers looking to try things out to join them for a celebration as they open the new store, starting at noon on September 3. They call the grand opening "a party" with more details to come as the event gets closer.
