The massive snowstorm that hit the Northland this weekend is long over but we are still seeing the impacts of it across the area.

Bentleyville is covered in snow with organizers seeking volunteers. A famous North Shore photo op is ruined thanks to the heavy precipitation. Many schools and community organizations are closed for the day.

With that said, city officials all over are working hard to clear the snow so that we can all get back to our normal daily lives. The Cloquet Police Department is on that list, working hard to clear streets.

They touched on this with a Facebook post Monday (December 2nd) afternoon, asking residents to help them out. Here's what they had to say:

We just want to take a minute to remind residences that city crews are working diligently to remove snow. If you have a vehicle parked on a city street, please start working on getting those moved so plows can get through.

We have received several calls about vehicles parked on roadways that are covered in snow. We are working to find the best solution for all, including avoiding towing charges for owners of vehicles that may have been stuck or parked and alternate ride arrangements had to be made over the past couple of days.

Reminder that there is no parking on city streets from midnight to 6am. Vehicles are subject to ticket and removal. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Take note of this if you live or travel in the area.

According to reports, Cloquet got hit with about 20 inches of snow. Make sure you make an effort as soon as possible to go retrieve your car if the message above applies to you so you can avoid a tow and a fee.
