Hawthorne Heights released a brand new cover of Bush's "Machinehead."

The rock band, which is composed of members JT Woodruff (vocals, guitar), Mark McMillon (guitar, backing vocals), Matt Ridenour (bass, backing vocals), Chris Popadak (drums), unveiled the new song following the release of their track "Hard To Breathe" and cover of The Ramones’ "Pet Sematary."

Ahead of its premiere, Woodruff told PopCrush why the band chose to cover "Machinehead."

"When we were all in high school, BUSH came outta nowhere," he shared. "Every freakin song was a smash hit. The riff in 'Machinehead' was so striking and hit so hard. I wasn’t even playing guitar at that point, but it was undeniable. And still is. They play that song at Cincinnati Bengals games, right after Ohio Is For Lovers, so we felt it was appropriate."

Hawthorne Heights also announced they'll be releasing a collection of B-Sides and Rarities titled Lost Frequencies, which drops November 8 via Pure Noise Records. It follows the band's previously-released full-length album, Bad Frequencies.

"We wanted to do something we had never done before, which was a collection of stuff that had been buried for one reason or another," Woodruff explained. "We wanted to push ourselves to do covers because we had never really done a lot of them. We would always argue about the songs. Some of the originals on here have very personal subject matter, and we wanted to showcase the stories in a different format. Great rock songs sound even better stripped back, where you mostly get down to the storytelling."

They'll even be heading on tour with New Found Glory next week, which kicks off on November 2 in Arkansas.

"NFG is one of our all-time favorite bands, and we’ve been trying to get on the road with them for a long time," Woodruff said. "Nice guys, and legends in the scene. Looking forward to playing a bunch of shows with people our own age, and probably talking about normal things haha. They have so many classic songs, that I’m sure I will find myself watching them every night. There is nothing better than touring with bands that you grew up listening to, and ones that helped shape you as a songwriter. Can’t wait for it!"
