Bizarre and Unidentified Roadkill Discovered Near Alexandria

Seeing a dead animal on the side or the middle of the road is far from unusual in Northern Minnesota or Wisconsin, but this strange looking creature would surely turn some heads and make people think to themselves. "what the #$*%"?

This odd looking mammal with long toenails, white skin and dark tufts of hair was found dead on the roadside near Alexandria earlier this week.

Kevin Kotts with the Minnesota DNR told KSAX-TV:

after examining the remains, there are no clear signs of it not being a badger, however its longer tail is inconsistent with badgers he has seen.

The DNR has the critter in its possession and is conducting further tests to try and identify the animal.  I'll keep an eye on the developments and keep you up to date.
