Superior Public Library Offers Free Lyme Disease Educational Program
As winter gives way to the warmer months ahead, the flea, tick, and bug season looms on the horizon. One of the concerns involved is the spread of Lyme Disease through deer ticks - especially in our area where many spend a lot of time in the woods and around lakes. An upcoming program will help to educate you with all you need to know about the disease.
The Superior Public Library is offering the information at a free event coming up on Thursday, April 11. Local Lyme Disease researcher Tom Grier will host the conversation that starts at 6:00 PM.
What can you expect at the event? According to the libraries website, Grier will discuss what Lyme Disease is, how to prevent it, and the controversies that surround it. In addition to the focus on Lyme Disease, Grier will also discuss other Tick-Borne-Infections.
The program is free and no reservations are required in advance. The Friends of the Library will offer refreshments.
