The 2016 Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics of Minnesota has now come and gone, and here's a recap of our team: Captain Redbeard and His Legion Of MIX Nuts.

I jumped last year by myself and it was definitely more fun jumping with a team. Also it was so much colder last year, they even had to drill a hole through the ice! It  wasn't too bad this year and there was no ice in sight!

The team consisted of my good friend of the last 20 years Justin and my fiance's aunt Dawn. We had a great costume idea, but my costume guy fell through so we jumped with MIX 108 banners instead. This year there were 813 registered jumpers and between the Polar Plunge and the Plunge 5k, Duluth raised over $140,000. I can't wait to do it again next year and I'll definitely have to put together a team again. Below is a video our team jumping as well, enjoy!
