Animal Allies Pet of the Week is an Adorable Little Dog Named “Chowder” [VIDEO]

Chowder is a 6 year old male Brindle Chihuahua who is absolutely adorable. He is a little timid, but with some patients, kind words and nurturing he would be an awesome companion. We have a Chihuahua that is a little younger and smaller dogs definitely have different needs, due to their small size. You need to be pretty careful around them and definitely watch where you are walking.

The staff feel that he would be a good fit in a quieter home and probably not one with small children given how fragile some of these small dog breeds can be. Chowder loves to be held and snuggle and would be a perfect lap dog. He also loves to lounge on your bed or burrow under a warm blanket after a long day.
